That dude was taped and glued on something fierce. . .
Will post pics of the finished project in a couple of weeks. . .
Living full time in our motor home allows us to be Ready To Go. . .on to the next adventure!
The Maintenance Guy here at the RV Park told Dave there was a great view of the bay
from the fire tower
located at
boy howdy. . .was he ever right. . .wow!
100 steps. . .225 feet off the ground. . .so worth it!
Sawyer Harbor to the left. . .Sturgeon Bay to the right. . .
with someone’s very private little island. . .how lovely is this?
and Green Bay straight out ahead. . .
a very enjoyable afternoon. . .
We have lots and lots more to explore, so we’ll see you next time,
‘til then,
Janice and Dave
Potawatomi State Park Reservations – fairly nice electric only RV sites if you have a fairly small RV. . .you could get a big one in there, but you would really need to wiggle. . .and I don’t think you could get satellite reception. . .there’s a pretty tight tree canopy. . .
Trip Advisor – Potawatomi State Park
but first a little discussion of topography. . .
as we learned in school. . .Wisconsin is shaped like a mitten,
we are currently exploring Wisconsin’s Thumb. . .
and the motorhome is parked right where Dave’s pointing. . .
I saw this relief map on a wall downtown,
so we took a pic of it while walking around the very pretty downtown area,
we enjoyed Sturgeon Bay’s – Sturgeon on the Bay Art Walk. . .
this one is titled Lure of the Lyre Fish. . .
and I loved the wooden spoons the strings are attached to. . .
and one more titled Guided Lighthouse Tour. . .
we plan to see each of these lighthouses while we are exploring. . .
for those who love art. . .here’s the rest of our Sturgeon on the Bay Art Walk
as for the Farmer’s Market. . .well,
it’s a little early in the season. . .there were plants, lots and lots of plants. . .
but I did buy some asparagus, and kale at this table.. .
the baked goods table was irresistible. . .a loaf of cheese bread,
and two cherry turnovers made their way home with us. ..
but we did manage to resist the fresh cheese curds. . .
and that was it for our Saturday morning. . .
we usually leave weekends to the Weekend Warriors. . .
of which we used to be. . .so nothing else important is planned
until Monday when we may go do a little more exploring. . .
‘til then
Janice and Dave
