Franklin Mountains State Park Aerial Tram–El Paso TX

but first. . .I must ask which you would prefer?Desert Willow RV Park - Van Horn TX $13.50 Passport America Rate
a gravel parking lot for $13.50 per night. . .Passport America rate. . .
at Van Horn TX where we stayed Friday night. . .
Mission RV Park - $42.50
or a gravel parking lot for $38.50 per night –
Good Sam Discount. . .in El Paso

ummm hmmmm. . .no brainer. . .right?

now in all fairness. . .we chose this RV Park because they participate
in Enjoy America. . .which would have been $22 for just the overnite we had planned. . .

but now that we are stuck here for 4 nights,
waiting for our appt with the Cummins Repair on Tuesday,
it’s actually cheaper to use the GS discount. . .
I know. . .crazy. . .but I did the calculations. . .
ouchy, ouchy, ouchy. . .

NOW. . .on to the fun stuff!
Wyler Aeriel Tramway - Franklin Mountains State Park $8 pp
one of three aerial trams located in the El Paso area. . .
the road up to this one has a 20% grade at one point,
so, it’s not somewhere you could take a motorhome. . .
Wyler Aeriel Tramway - Franklin Mountains State Park $8 pp
$8 pp. . .well worth it we thought,
and all the monies benefit the State Park system
it only ascends about 900 feet. . .
so you are only in the car for about 4 minutes. . .
arriving at 5600 feet elevation. . .

here are the three states
and two countries
that can be seen from the top
El Paso TX Panorama - Wyler Aeriel Tramway - Franklin Mountains State Park $8 pp
TEXAS USA
El Paso Panorama – Fort Bliss is located in the upper left corner. . .

Chihuahua Juarez Mexico

Border Fence between Mexico and New Mexico

closer look at the border fence separating Mexico and New Mexico. . .

and that was it. . .everything we did today. . .

tomorrow. . .grocery shopping, and washing the coach. . .oh joy!

’til then,
