We are enjoying the park and the peace. . .
’til next time,
Living full time in our motor home allows us to be Ready To Go. . .on to the next adventure!
The family reunion on Saturday went great. . .lots of cousins,
nieces, nephews, and all the greats. . .got all my hugs in!
Jaden with his Great Aunt and Mommy and Daddy
Max, who took a dip in the pond,
just couldn’t understand why he wasn’t welcome amongst the folks. . .
and the older great nephews
rode this scooter the entire day.. .
I imagine they slept very well Saturday night. . .
Sunday, we moved over to Martin Dies State Park in Jasper,
so I could visit with these wonderful friends
before we leave for six months. . .
lots of good ‘eatin and great conversations
went on for two days
our very special midnight visitors
who managed to take down and clean out
the bird feeders. . .what can’ya say?
and of course a beautiful sunset over Lake Steinhagen. . .
we roll this morning, with plans to spend the night
just north of Jackson MS. .
a longer travel day than normal. . .so off we go. . .
see you there,
‘til then,
Janice and Dave
I love landscaping. . .
I love Spring Cleanup. . .
I miss all of it now that we are RV’ing. . .
so. . .I told my brother and sis in law, that if they would host the
Williford Family Reunion 2014
we would come and help with the
Spring Yard Work and Landscaping. . .
Lord have mercy. . .
I forgot how BIG their yard is. . .looks good. . .right?
not to mention how out of shape we are. . .LOL!
we worked outside for two days. . .
then needed an entire third day to recuperate. . .
it was all worth it. .

RV Tip of the Day
we were rolling before 9A. . .still not sure how THAT happened.
I have learned to not even turn on the computer on travel mornings. . .
and. . .we had unhooked everything, and put away all the
outside paraphernalia yesterday, in anticipation of expected rains. . .
that sped things way up this morning. . .
put in the slides. . .hook up the jeep. . .and off we go!
rolled into the Strouhal Tire Store real quick for a motorhome inspection. . .
wow. . .they are really set up for big rigs. . .I like this place a lot. . .
this will probably be our new go to place for MH tires and such. . .
did you know the inspection price for a MH is the same as for a car. . .$14.50. . .yaaa!
Done. . .that was easy!
an easy drive of only about 100 miles followed. . .
two hours later. . .all set up for the next week!![]()
not too bad. . .easy access to Interstate 10 and all the places we need to be for the week. . .
We have lots to do getting ready for my family’s reunion this weekend. . .
Looking forward to all the fun. . .
til next time,
Janice and Dave
RV’ing Tip of the Day
I wasn’t necessarily so crazy about “another social media site”
especially designed for RV’ers. . .but I hafta say. . .
this is a pretty cool place. . .check it out:
RV Village
this is it. . .our last day at Thousand Trails Lake Conroe,
until we return sometime in the fall. . .late fall is my plan.
as a Texan, I feel absolutely obligated to show you this
field of bluebonnets located right outside the park’s gates. . .

and I would of course love to show you the dogwoods
that are blooming around the park. . .
they look like baby’s breath sprinkled out through the woods!
and seriously. . .that’s it. . .nothing exciting going on. . .
other than trip planning,
and as usual.. .the jello already been shaken,
and remolded at least three times, with,
I am sure, several more changes to come. . .we’ll see!
Hope you’ll check back next week,
should be a little more excitement.
Would love to hear all y’alls
travel plans. . .
I know friends are headed to California
to work at Mount Whitney. . .
the highest peak in the lower 48. . .
that sounds exciting,
and another couple are headed to West Yellowstone
to work in the very same gift shop
we worked in Summer 2010. . .
they are going to love every minute. . .
so leave a comment,
and tell us where you’re headed. . .
til then

RV Tip of the Day
Two different RV couples we know
have had issues with their refrigerators lately. . .
with summer coming on,
I thought this might be a helpful article:
