Elk in the Camp - right outside the RV - how would you like to see this on a hunting trip?

This big bull elk wanders through the East Portal Campground at least once a week. . .

and often beds down behind the campsites. . .which thrills the visitors to no end.

      He is magnificent. . .someone came in to the park office a few minutes ago, and said there was a traffic jam down at the YMCA because he was down there. . .definitely a showstopper!

      We are really loving it. . .a bear showed up last Sunday night. . .not in the campground. . .but in the woods behind the campground. . .sure hope I get a pic of it. . .thanks for reading our blog!
