The Bridges and Gatehouses of Acadia National Park

My goal when we arrived at Acadia National Park
was to personally photograph
all 16 of the Roosevelt Bridges. . .
I’m not sure if that’s going to happen. . .
but we’ve made a valiant effort.

Jordan Pond Road Bridge: One of the last bridges built in 1932, this bridge is not easily noticed even when traveling over it. It carries an automobile road from Seal Harbor to Jordan Pond across its deck, a carriage road running beneath it.

We enjoyed our quest to photograph all the bridges, gate houses and lodges
in Acadia National Park over the course of a month. . .
I hope you have enjoyed our efforts. . .wish we could show you more. . .
but alas. . .we are old. . .and out of shape. . .so I am sad to say. . .
this time. . .the mountain beat us. . .maybe next time. . .
