Full Time RV Living - Moving Day Has Turned Into Moving Week PLUS!

ugghhh. . .although the kitchen, bedroom, and personal items
are pretty well organized. . .and can be found. . .
the rest of the motor home is a disaster. . .
typical moving scenario. . .started out so well. . .
organized. . .take things from one home, put it away in the other. . .until. . .

You know that UNTIL moment. . .
it’s happened with every move we’ve ever made. . .
things are going along smoothly. . .
and then, BAM. . .time’s up. . .
gotta get’r finished!  Yep. . .happened again!

Anyway. . .everything is “transferred” over. . .
IMGP2194
Thursday morning, we pulled the fifth wheel out,
and the motorhome in. . .and officially started
“living” in it. . .if that’s what you want to call
survival mode. . .but. . .the end is in sight!

I hafta admit. . .I’ve teared up a couple of times
over letting the Alfa go. . .we’ve lived in it since 2003. . .
longer than we lived in some of our houses. . .ha ha. . .
and have loved most every minute of it!

Yesterday, and today, we are cleaning
and making minor repairs to the Alfa. . .
tomorrow we have an appointment to take it to  the
PPL Consignment Lot in Houston, and drop it off.
They move a  lot of rigs. . .so I’m hoping it will sell quickly!
If you know of anyone looking for a great rig
at a fabulous price. . .have them check it out online!

I’ll post pics and updates on the new rig as soon as
we get a few more things stored away. . .stay tuned!

  2. I know what you mean about tearing up. I did the same thing when we sold the Tiffin. I am thrilled with our Cameo, but there are still things I miss about the motor home.

I am leaving for Ohio tomorrow. I wish you were coming today. We could have possibly met up for breakfast. We are about two miles from PPL.

The best of luck with the sale. You are right...they do move the RVs there.

  4. Best wishes on the sale of the Alfa. Mom used PPL to sell her Country Coach a few years back, and I refer newbies to them all the time. IF the Alfa weren't so heavy, we would be interested in it - am sure it has been taken care of and will be a great find for a full-timer who has a big enough truck to pull it with. Enjoy your new MH -- it sure is a beauty :)
