without getting stuck. . .this is how the field looked by the middle of the week. . .
lots and lots of rain. . .
this was the first casualty on Wednesday. . .
through no fault of his own, but because another RV’er
pulled out in front of him in their car, he had to stop. . .
and you know what happens to one of these things once you stop. . .
no chance of getting it rolling again. . .
after they were towed out. . .the fairgrounds. . .thankfully,
had about six loads of gravel delivered. . .
I tried my dead level best to avoid leaving the fairgrounds,
and going to the store. . .but finally, we were out of everything. . .
bread, milk, cheese (very important for nachos,) veggies. . .
I was forced to make an Aldi run. . .
guess who else shops at Aldi?
then back to the rally for entertainment, and classes,
and chili cookoffs. . .and visiting. . .the visiting was the most fun!
We think we might have liked it all better if the weather had been better. ..
We think we might have liked it all better if the weather had been better. ..
as it was, once things were over for the day,
we just kinda hibernated in the rig til the next activity,
which makes it very difficult to meet others. . .
but. . .oh well. . .
now we can say we did an Escapee’s Escapade. . .
When we got ready to leave this morning. . .
Dave made a run for it, and didn’t stop til he reached the road. . .yaaa Dave!
our next stop. . .Cottonwood Campground – Lansing Michigan – State Capitol*
See you there,
See you there,
Janice and Dave
