eight of us headed out to explore this morning. . .
but first, we must stop at Coco’s
for nourishment and strength to make it through the day. . .
purty tasty vittles. . .
and then, sixty miles away. . .the Main Attraction. . .
the Joshua Trees
and the rock formations are just fabulous
we were very sad to find we had just missed the spring bloom. . .bummer
at every moment from every angle. . .LOL!
now. . .whad’da’ya think that rock looks like?
Dave’s never met a rock pile he didn’t feel the need to climb. . .
a beautiful path. . .although this view is very deceptive. . .
there was a lot of climbing, and scrambling
over rock piles and steps before the day was done. . .
almost two miles. . .(I don’t care what the sign said)
my blisters had blisters. . .
as you can imagine. . .Joshua Tree NP
is a mecca for rock climbing. . .
we saw these guys all over the park.. .
and last, but not least. . .Skull Rock
another beautiful National Park. . .well done!
See you next time at Salton Sea,
’til then,
Janice and Dave
