We knew we were close to “Amish” country while we were at Kennissee Creek,
and there was a driving tour within reach, so we did a day trip to Mesopotamia OH. . .
Tuesday must be their laundry day. . .
all the laundry hanging out brought back a rush of memories. ..
we didn’t get a clothes dryer until I was a freshman in high school. . .
I’ve hung miles of laundry in my lifetime. . .and am so thankful to no longer need to!
the beautiful Methodist Church in the town square. . .
Mesopotamia was just a small farming community,
nothing like Berlin Oh, two hours away,
where our friends Margery and Paul were staying. . .
check out their Amish Country experience here. . .
We did pick up some cheese, visited a farm stand,
and had a very lovely day. . .
In early October we will be touring
through Pennsylvania Amish Country
which I understand is an entirely different experience,
I’m sure there will be plenty more to share then. . .
Til next time,
Janice and Dave
