Sturgeon Bay’s Farmer’s Market. . .oh. . .and Craft Market

but first a little discussion of topography. . .

as we learned in school. . .Wisconsin is shaped like a mitten,

The Thumb of Wisconsin, Sturgeon BayThe Thumb of Wisconsin, Sturgeon Bay, Where the Motohome is Parked

we are currently exploring Wisconsin’s Thumb. . .

and the motorhome is parked right where Dave’s pointing. . .

I saw this relief map on a wall downtown,

Sturgeon Wisconsin Downtown

so we took a pic of it while walking around the very pretty downtown area,

Titled : Lure of the Lyre Fish - Sturgeon around the Bay Art Project

we enjoyed Sturgeon Bay’s – Sturgeon on the Bay Art Walk. . .

this one is titled Lure of the Lyre Fish. . .

Titled : Lure of the Lyre Fish - Sturgeon around the Bay Art Project

and I loved the wooden spoons the strings are attached to. . .

Titled: Guided Lighthouses - Sturgeon around the Bay Art Project

and one more titled Guided Lighthouse Tour. . .

we plan to see each of these lighthouses while we are exploring. . .

for those who love art. . .here’s the rest of our Sturgeon on the Bay Art Walk

as for the Farmer’s Market. . .well,

Plants - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon BayFarmer's Market - Sturgeon Bay

Asparagus - Kale - Spinach - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon BayPlants - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon Bay

it’s a little early in the season. . .there were plants, lots and lots of plants. . .

Asparagus - Kale - Spinach - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon Bay

but I did buy some asparagus, and kale at this table.. .

Baked Goods - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon BayCherry Turnover - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon Bay

the baked goods table was irresistible. . .a loaf of cheese bread,

and two cherry turnovers made their way home with us. ..

Cheese Curds - Farmer's Market - Sturgeon Bay

but we did manage to resist the fresh cheese curds. . .

and that was it for our Saturday morning. . .

we usually leave weekends to the Weekend Warriors. . .

of which we used to be. . .so nothing else important is planned

until Monday when we may go do a little more exploring. . .

‘til then

Janice and Dave
