Full Time RV Living–Making Your Blog Link Clickable

In all of my studies about blogging, I’ve learned. . .
Simple is better. . .make your blog as simple as possible to find. . .
and always include your name and blog link in your correspondence.

I was advised of all of this by a very successful RV Blogger with ten years of experience. . .
I think they probably know what they are talking about. . .

I know nothing about computerese. . .I figure, if I can make this work. . .
then you certainly can. . .

SO. . .here is the code to make your blog link clickable:

<a href=”HTTP:THE LINK FOR YOUR BLOG”>the name of your blog</a>

EVERYTHING IN RED is going to be replaced with YOUR INFORMATION -

Don’t automatically assume this is going to work the first time. . .you will probably need to do some tweaking!

Step One:  Copy the Code Info to a Word Page or some type of blank document

Step Two: Open your Blog on the Web. . .making sure you are on your HOME page -
copy the web.com address at the top of the page. . .paste it in the code line where it says:
THE LINK FOR YOUR BLOG

Step Three: in the area in red that says the name of your blog  you need to make a decision. . .this is what will show when you use this code. . .mine just says RV Blog or something like that. . .you can enter whatever you like by replacing the name of your blog with your own phrase. . .

Step Four: TEST!  Copy everything you just did. . .code and all. . .everything. . .go to the comments section of your blog. . .this is a good place to practice. . .you can delete it over and over until you get it right. . .

Paste it in. . .and hit PUBLISH. . .(don’t worry, you’re gonna delete it). . .how does it look?  Is it correct. . .or does it look wonky?  If something is wrong. . .double check everything. . .make absolutely sure the “> is included between the LINK and the NAME. . .don’t give up. . .it will work. . .just not always the first time. . .ha ha. . .just saying!

Here is what my code looks like when I paste it in the comment section of a blog:

Janice

<a href="

At the bottom of this page. . .in the comments. . .is what appears to others. . .

Step Five: Once you have it right SAVE your information. . .at some point, something will happen to your signature. . .and you’ll need a copy to go back to. . .trust me on this one. . .

This is the web page I got this information from. . .

Good luck,
Janice
