the Diagnostic Tech was ready to roll the rig in by 7:30 this morning. . .
so it seemed as though something would happen. . .
After THREE HOURS of diagnostics (must have been like an MRI)
it was determined that our fuel pump (lift pump) had failed,
we were told this is a common failure on this engine? ? ?
guess these guys see lots of Cummins engines. . .so they should know.
after they told us the damages though. . .
I was certainly wishing our wasn’t one of the failures. . .
It is what it is. . .so we will deal, and move forward. . .
hopefully by tomorrow afternoon!
The old AMEX is gonna get quite the workout. . . let me tell ya!
We really appreciate all of you who have checked on us,
here and on FaceBook. . .we are fine!
All set up in a hotel for tonight. . .
the techs offered to move the rig back out to the hookups. . .
however, since it won’t start, and has to moved manually,
that would just be another delay in the morning getting it back in the bay. . .
Easier to just grab toothbrushes and computers
and make ourselves comfy elsewhere. . .
Wish us luck,
Janice and Dave
