well. . .we escaped Alpine ahead of the
ice pellets and snow predicted for Saturday morning. . .
arrived at Desert Willow RV Park $13.50 – 50A – nice level sites. . .
this is okay for us for just an overniter. . .
the only problem is. . .the coach developed a little bit of a hiccup on the way in,
and was not responding to hills in its normal get up and go fashion. . .
so knowing we were parked for that entire week with only a 1/2 tank of fuel,
we thought we had gotten a little condensation in the tank. . .
we’ll just pull in to the diesel repair. . .have the filter changed. ..
pour in a good dose of diesel conditioner. . .that’ll solve it.
eh. . .that didn’t really do the trick either. . .
but it’s not bad. . .just a little random hesitation once in a while,
and not really good acceleration on the hills. . .
Knowing we are heading for the mountains, we need to get this resolved. . .
So, here we are in El Paso. . .
we have an appt with the Cummins Repair Shop on Tuesday. . .
hopefully, it’ll be a simple fix. . .
and while we’re there, we’ll go ahead and get the oil change done,
instead of waiting til Tucson. . .
and if they can service the generator,
I would love to get that done too. . .
need to remember to tell Dave to ask about that. . .
We are not concerned at this point. . .
it’s just one of those little naggy things that happen when you live the lifestyle.
I tell newbies. . .if you can’t deal with things going wrong,
this is not going to be the life for you. . .
So, instead of just doing an overnite in El Paso,
we will stay until this is resolved. . .
do a little sightseeing. . .
get all the road grime and nastiness cleaned
off the coach and jeep. . .
trust me. . .it needs it desperately!
We’ll see you down the road. . .at some point!
Janice and Dave
