Not sure how long it will last. . .but it has been gorgeous weather the past few days. . .even the rain has been great!
There are a few patches of what I am calling goldenrod left. . .
which the butterflies, or maybe moths, are loving. . .
The pecan trees are loaded. . .so I decided to go for a walk and gather some. . .seems like it may be a couple more weeks before they really start falling. . .glad we are still going to be here. . .
Mr Majestic Six Point posed for me. . .isn’t he gorgeous. . .sure hope he makes it through hunting season. . .
and I’m hoping perhaps one of the manly men might tell me what he is doing here. . .well actually, I have a fairly good idea that he himself is on the hunt. . .or maybe the prowl. . .but not entirely sure. . .ha ha. . .
What a great shot of the buck 'testing the winds'. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can tell if it is a butterfly or moth by looking at the ends of it's antennae. If there are little knobs, like in your shot, it is a butterfly.
that is good to know Judy. . .I was just sure I would say it was the wrong thing, and get corrected. . .:)
DeleteI'll add my two cents...I think those are gerbera daisies... I love those flowers. Great shot of the buck!
ReplyDeleteI usually google the flowers under Texas Wildflower Images. . .but was being lazy last night. . .I'm sure someone knows exactly what they are called, and will let me know. . .isn't blogging great. . .so many smart folks out there. . .love it!
Deletethe buck was in quite a state, pacing back and forth. . .I stayed a good ways away. . .but he was magnificent!
