I must admit. . .it feels good to have finally gotten the rig, and the truck washed. . .
and it looks so much better without the bugs decorating the front. . .
Next weekend, we hope to get the cap rewaxed. . .the sides still look good. . .
Miss Morgan, our grandaughter who is visiting for the weekend, was just as excited about
helping with the washing chores as I knew she would be. . .
although she was willing to hold the hose, and do the rinsing. . .
She was much happier to have her Pa take her fishing. . .
we’ll take her home to Houston tomorrow so she can get back into school mode for Tuesday. . .
it’s been a very productive and fulfilling weekend!
Janice
Glad Miss Morgan was a big help. I am sure she enjoys her alone time with grandma and grandpa.
ReplyDeleteCute picture of her fishing.
She's had a great time. . .and gone to bed without being told the last two nights. . .we've worn her out!
DeleteEldy had to wait MONTHS to wash the rig as most campgrounds would not let us wash it ourselves. He's working on it now...Glad your granddaughter got in some fishing time. Bet you're glad it's warm enough to fish! Thirty degrees last night in Elkhart IN! Forties yesterday during the day, but it's going to warm up again.
ReplyDeleteFirst time it's been washed since April. . .it was getting really bad!
DeleteIt has been amazingly nice weather here in Central Texas. . .it's usually still really, really hot. . .glad for an early break!
Thirties and forties do not sound fun at all. . .you gotta get outta there. . .lol.
A clean rig sure feels good, doesn't it? We have been wanting to do our outside recently but the weather has not been cooperating at all. Dave is hoping to get a break in the weather to at least get the roof washed before Winter sets in.
ReplyDeleteIt does feel great to have it done. . .and will feel even better once the wax job is completed.
DeleteHere's hoping for a break in the weather for ya. . .
I felt just as good when I had one of the interns wash and wax my rig a couple weeks ago. Getting too old and decrepit to get up on the roof myself. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've hired ours done plenty of times Judy. . .and I really, really don't like hubby on the roof. . .and like to be out there watching that he doesn't get too close to the edge. . .which annoys him to no end. . .LOL! He tells me he climbed pipe racks and cooling towers at the chemical plant for thirty years. . .he thinks he can go up on a RV roof. . .no problem.
DeleteDifference is. . .he had on safety harnesses. . and I wasn't there to see it! I just worry he'll get engrossed in the washing project and forget how close the edge might be. . .once a Mom, always a Mom. . .doesn't matter the age. . .ha ha!
I agree with your response to Judy above. There's no shame in admitting that perhaps you're past the age for certain activities. Oh, wait...that rule only works with women:) That rule also falls in line with the rule for stopping and asking for directions if you're lost. Glad everything is clean for the winter.
ReplyDeleteha ha ha. . .your comment just tickles me Vickie. . .oh so true! And as far as asking for directions. . .thanks be to the Lord for GPS. . .right?
