it was obvious from a distance that it was going to be great. . .
and it did not disappoint. . .this State Capitol is the most similar to the White House we think. . .
see all those lovely stairs. . .
once we climbed all those, and went through these beautiful doors,
look what greeted us. . .LOL!
guess what was at the top. . .
ha ha ha ha ha. . .gonna get our workout today boys. . .
off to the Information Desk we go. . .
only to discover, that retirement has truly caught up with us. . .
and we have lost all track of time. . .it’s lunch time. . .
no more tours for two hours. . .uh oh. . .
well, that’s okay. . .we’ll just do a self guided tour. . .get the pamphlet. . .
we wandered up and down.. .
around and about. . .through every hallway. . .
explored every crevice and cranny that wasn’t locked. . .
met a few famous Missourians (I asked what they called themselves)
visited with Mr Twain for a bit. . .
enjoyed wandering through the exhibits of the
Missouri State Museum. . .housed in the wings of the first floor. . .
hope you’ve enjoyed our tour of
the Missouri State Capitol as much as we did. . .
See you next time in Topeka,
Janice and Dave
